Meine Expedition für Leprakranke - Ein humanitäres Abenteuer
Am 1.1.02 startete der 25-jährige Christoph von Toggenburg in ein einmaliges Abenteuer: Von Neu Delhi radelte er allein von Indien in die Schweiz, um Spendengelder für Leprakranke zu sammeln.
In fünf Monaten legte er 9300 Kilometer zurück, durchquerte sieben Länder, kämpfte sich durch Wüsten, Sandstürme und quälende Hitze. Er fuhr bedrohlich nah am Krieg in Afghanistan vorbei, durchquerte die indisch-pakistanische Krisenregion, kam in abgelegene Bergdörfer, wo man teilweise noch nie einen Europäer gesehen hatte, sah einige der schönsten Landschaften der Welt und auch großes Elend. Er erlebte atemberaubende Glücksmomente und Todesangst. Für ihn war es eines der grössten Abenteuer, das ein Mensch heutzutage erleben könne.

On Januray 1 the 25 year old Christoph von Toggenburg started off for a unique adventure: Starting in New Delhi, he cycled alone to Switzerland in order to collect donations for lepers. In five months he covered 9300 kilometers, passed through countries, fought his way through deserts, sand-storms, and excruciating heat.
He saw some of the most beautiful landscapes on earth as well as incredible misery, he faced mortal fears and moments of happiness.
For him it was one of the greatest adventures to be experienced today: to show that also one single person can help. Therefore he wanted to report all this in pictures and words in order to reach as many people as possible.
